Flying the relatively short distance from Los Angeles to Las Vegas, this much became certain: Less than thrilling keynotes aside, CES is still a huge draw. I was surrounded by CES-bound travelers--some flying in just to wander around, at least one with a CE product to show off.

Laura O'Donnell (EVP Product Development), seated just to my left, was toting a ContourHD, an incredibly small and lightweight 1080p HD lipstick-style camera designed specifically for rugged use in a variety of settings. (Think helmet cams and extreme sports.)
