From David Pogue's review:
There's not much room for the apps on the Droid, either. Although Verizon includes a 16-gigabyte memory card for your music and photos, apps have to be stored in a 560-megabyte chunk of built-in memory. Some Droiders will fill that up quick.
Wait, what? That's incredibly lame, and a deal breaker, in my view.
I'm pretty sure that some of the larger apps on my iPhone are bigger than the size limit imposed by the Droid.
Also of note. It's mentioned in one of the reviews that the Droid is 25% heavier than an iPhone. Kinda take the shine off of Verizon's boasting about it being only slightly thicker than an iPhone.
As an aside, Mossberg refers to it as a super-smart-phone. (Using that phrase for iPhone, Droid, and the Palm Pre to distinguish them from regular smart phones.)
I *hate* that phrase. It should not be allowed to catch on. If we have to distinguish between smart phones, how about: Smart Phone or @!$%#ty Smart Phone?
Or, as David Pogue suggests: App Phones.
I like it.
