"Complete My Album" now on iTunes -- Credit for Already-purchased Songs

advertisement

Did you know that if you've purchased one or more songs from an eligible album, you may now be able to buy the rest of the album at a reduced price? You have up to six months after first downloading a song from an eligible album to purchase the remainder of the album.

Great feature! It'll take a real cynic to bad-mouth this addition.

Question: If I've purchased an iTunes Single -- and if that single subsequently appears on the album once it's released -- does the "single" I purchased count as a credit towards the full album?

Who's leading the conversation?
This visualization below allows you to see the impact that each user has on the current conversation. The top row contains the group of users who have had the most impact, the 2nd row the group of users who have had the 2nd most impact (et cetera). Users with similar impact are grouped together, and the average score of the group is shown to the left of the group. The author of the article is also shown on the left, in their corresponding group. Each user's score is based on the number of comments the user has made plus the number of votes their comments have received. The scores are calculated relative one another, so while their absolute value is not particularly important, their relative difference does indicate a larger difference in impact on the conversation.

Interesting. I'm going to check it out right now. On the surface, it seems like a great deal. But, as I read in the comments section, some folks only wanted one or two songs in the first place and never wanted the album. I guess it wouldn't benefit those people. However, I often get a single from a newer or boscure group, then go and check out the album.

I've been bitten by buying one song off the album, only to decide I want the whole thing at a later date, so this will come in handy on occasion.

Still, my above question stands: Does this apply only to songs bought "from" the album, or do singles which later appear on an album count, too?
